Volunteers are a driving force behind the Foundation. In both big ways and small, you can get involved to make a difference in the lives of those living with NF.  Assist with a CTF fundraising event, advocate for NF government funding and policy changes, or spread awareness in your community. Join us by choosing the volunteer positions that match your interest, and discover how rewarding it is to be a volunteer of the Children’s Tumor Foundation.

Volunteer Leadership Council

The Volunteer Leadership Council of the Children’s Tumor Foundation is a group of the Foundation’s most distinguished and dedicated volunteers. Members are recognized within the Council for their significant contributions to the Foundation. They are our most experienced volunteers in the areas of event organization, patient engagement, new volunteer recruitment, and community support, and are champions of the NF cause. For this, they are offered opportunities to further develop their leadership abilities and fundraising skills, and to interact with fellow members of the NF family and other community leaders.

Membership in the Volunteer Leadership Council changes annually, with new members announced in January of each year, based on meeting Foundation-wide criteria.  In other words, a person can be a member of the Leadership Council without any time limit at all, as long as the criteria are being met each year.

The Volunteer Leadership Council meets annually for training, camaraderie, and celebration of their many achievements. In addition to attending the Leadership Council Annual Conference, members of the Council will also attend the NF Forum, and Volunteer Training Summit, when held in conjunction with the Annual NF Conference.
